In
1992, Maria Teresa Aldrete began the development of this multi-sensory,
interactive bilingual educational project that became known as EDUSPARK
System in 2001. Today, EDUSPARK programs are used in more than 1,000
schools in the US, Mexico, Peru, Guatemala, and Spain.
EDUSPARK
offers dual immersion software in English and Spanish covering over
160 different core curriculum-specific topics for grades K-2 and
over 60 topics in science for grades 3-8. The programs courseware
includes multimedia tools (CDs, DVDs and videos) as well as student
e-Workbooks, over 500 sing-along songs, e-Flash cards, hands-on
activities, specially designed lesson plans, Teachers Guides,
reinforcing extracurricular activities, and home schooling services.
This large body of teacher-friendly courseware has a modular design
that allows it to easily integrate into existing classroom curricula.
Proven
results have shown that using EDUSPARK programs has increased the
academic achievement of students in kindergarten through eighth
grade. This is greatly attributed to EDUSPARKs uniquely systematic
neuropsychological approach. This approach effectively develops
linguistic, cognitive and research abilities which increase dual
language knowledge achievement.
EDUSPARKs
staff development equips educators with the skills needed to lead
Spanish-speaking students to the mastery of rigorous science subject
matter that is integral to high stakes assessments. EDUSPARK also
offers training for teachers and training for trainers. These training
options provide educators with best practices that are integral
to maximizing the capabilities of the EDUSPARK solutions within
their learning environments.
The
EDUSPARK Management Team brings together professionals in the fields
of education, technology, research, finance and marketing. Their
diverse backgrounds and professional experience gives EDUSPARK a
unique ability to address the needs of students, educators and parents.
